1. The service
Kivoza provides a public website with information and browser tools. The currently listed image converters accept supported HEIC, HEIF, static WebP, and static AVIF files and create JPG or PNG results in the browser. The OCR tool recognizes printed text from one supported image, and the PDF tools merge, split, rotate, and extract PDF pages or create a PDF from JPG and PNG images. The Markdown workspace offers routes for PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, EPUB, HTML, CSV, and JSON. PDF, HTML, CSV, and JSON Markdown routes convert locally in the browser. DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, and EPUB routes use the Markdown conversion service only after you check the route's explicit upload-consent box; XLSX inspection also sends the workbook when you select it to read worksheet names. The tools page describes the current scope and limits.
2. Your responsibility
You are responsible for having the right to use the files you select and for checking each result before you use or share it. Do not use the service to process material that you are not authorised to handle or that would violate an applicable law or another person's rights.
3. Limits and results
The tools apply technical limits appropriate to each workflow. The image converters currently allow up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels per file, 64 MB per batch, and 8 files per batch. OCR accepts one image up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. PDF and Markdown workflows enforce their displayed file, page, image, document, and output limits. A file can still fail because of its codec, structure, browser support, available device memory, unsupported PDF features, or a conversion service error. Kivoza does not promise metadata retention, multi-frame animation, HDR behavior, handwriting recognition, exact document layout, or lossless encoding.
JPG output uses a white background for transparent pixels. You should review every preview and downloaded result before relying on it.
4. File processing and external content
Review the processing boundary shown on a Markdown route before selecting Start. PDF, HTML, CSV, and JSON keep their selected data in the browser. DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, and EPUB send selected files to the conversion service only after the explicit consent step; XLSX sends during workbook inspection as well as conversion. Service input is deleted after success, failure, cancellation, or service shutdown, and successful results are retained in memory for up to 10 minutes. Request logs contain no document body. Markdown previews do not fetch remote images or URLs. You are responsible for checking the source, the generated Markdown, warnings, and downloaded assets before relying on the result.
5. Availability and changes
The service may be changed, interrupted, or withdrawn. Kivoza may update the site, decoder resources, limits, guides, and these terms as the product changes. The directory should be treated as the current statement of which tools are available.
6. No guarantee of a particular outcome
The service is provided for ordinary browser-based file conversion, printed-text recognition, and PDF tasks. It is not a promise that every supported image will decode, that OCR will transcribe every character, that every PDF feature will be preserved, that a result will meet a third party's requirements, or that the service will be available at every time. Use the result only after checking that it is suitable for your purpose.
